TICFIX V1.1
November 18, 1992
Copyright 1992, Phil Pattengale

Background:
===========
Ok, These are the docs. The program is real straight-forward. There is a
bug in WCFF v3.51. When someone Hatches a file (or multiples) using their
AKA (alias), the "FROM" line in the resulting .TIC file has an added ":" .
Thus, your From line might look like:
"FROM: 15:201/1"
The extra ":" then screws up WCFF (and perhaps TICK also?). TICFIX will
read your .TIC files, and replace the "FROM:" with the correct "FROM".
Command Line:
=============
Very easy, one parameter gets passed to TICFIX, and that is the location
of the .TIC files. No trailing "\" or filenames needed. Just the path.
Thus, your command line would read:
TICFIX C:\DB\FILES
I run TICFIX just before I run WCFF, and it has been working ok so far, in
fact, its been a GODSEND!
You may run TICFIX at any time, though, if you've got lots of .BFF files,
you will want to rename them back to .TICs.
ERRORS:
=======
Well, if there are no .TICs in the specified Directory, TICFIX simply
exits. If you've specified no parameter, TICFIX will exit, reminding
you what format it needs. If the specified path does not exist, it will
exit with a "PATH NOT FOUND ERROR". If you get any other error, call me. I
was not able to produce any abnormal errors, but it's possible! (GRIN).
Contact & Legal Stuff:
======================
Well, first of all, I make not warranties that this program will do much of
anything for you, except take up HD space. It works fine for me. If you've
detected one of the slimey little bug things, or if you want to send me
money (oh, $5 would be great!), you may contact me via:

Update History:
v1.1 11/18/92
Added a Logging feature. Simply creates a TICFIX.LOG file in the directory
from which TICFIX is run. Two lines per .Tic File processed, one containing
the Date and Time (Military Format), and the filename. Line two describes
the action taken.
Corrected some Cosmetic bugs (ie: References to the programs devolopment name
of WCFF_FIX were replaced with TICFIX).
v1.0 11/07/92
Initial version Written and released upon the public at large.
